This means that we perform and arrange for the latest modalities and testing to evaluate your foot and ankle problems and treat them accordingly. In addition to providing compassionate care at affordable rates, we also accept most insurance plans as well as providing financing if needed. We also have compassion for those patients that are housebound and unable to come to the office by doing housecalls when they are needed. Dr. Randy H. Bernstein was born and raised in Detroit and graduated from Henry Ford High School in 1974. He attended Wayne State University, then transferred to Eastern Michigan University to be in the Medical Technology program there. After his internship at Henry Ford Hospital, he decided to further his medical training by attending the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland in 1980. After graduating in 1984, Dr. Bernstein did his residency training at Brent General Hospital and North Detroit General Hospital. He is currently a staff member at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills, and at the Southeast Michigan Surgical Hospital in Warren. He became board-certified in foot surgery in 1992, then re-certified in 2001, and re-certified again in 2011. Dr. Bernstein is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and a Fellow of the Lower Extremity Surgeons. He is also certified in Wound and Ulcer Care from the American Professional Wound Care Association.  Dr. Bernstein has been serving the community for more than 30 years in Livonia, Novi, Detroit, Dearborn Heights, and Royal Oak. Aside from being a sports fanatic, he also enjoys photography, classic rock ‘n roll, and motorcycles. He is an avid Detroit Red Wing fan, and has been a loyal season ticket holder for over 25 years.  Dr. Bernstein is also very proud to be recently selected as a board member for the American Healthcare Professionals and Friends for Medicine in Israel.
Dr. Bernstein has been married for more than 34 years with two adult children and three grandchildren.

Dr. Randy Semma is a 32-year-old native of West Bloomfield Michigan. After graduating from West Bloomfield High School, Dr. Semma went to Wayne State University where he graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.  After, he attended the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, and graduated in 2011.  After his graduation from medical school he moved to Florida where he did a three-year surgical residency program in foot and ankle reconstruction at the Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, Florida, just outside Miami.   Dr. Semma received extensive training in trauma, diabetic foot conditions, and rheumatoid foot problems. This is where he met his future wife, Dr. Michele Bertelle-Semma.  Dr. Semma moved back to the Detroit area with his wife and two children in 2015 where he teamed up with Dr. Bernstein at Sore Feet Podiatry and Nationwide Foot and Ankle Care.  Besides providing expert services in the offices, Dr. Semma is also on-call at the emergency room at Beaumont Hospital-Farmington Hills (Botsford).  He is also involved with the training of the Podiatry Residents at Beaumont. Dr. Semma is working on his board certification for foot and ankle surgery and in his spare time he enjoys all sports, spending time with his children, and traveling.

Dr. Michele Bertelle-Semma is a native of Staten Island, New York, where she attended   SUNY College and graduated in 2003.  She moved to Florida in 2004 and attended the Barry University Podiatry School in Miami, Florida.  After graduation, she got excepted to the Foot and Ankle Reconstruction Surgery Residency Program in the Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, Florida, just outside Miami.  This is where she met her husband and was married in 2013.  They have two children, Liam 3 years old and Sophia, 1 ½ years old.  Dr. Bertelle-Semma is also working towards her Board Certification.  Dr. Semma is also on-call at the emergency room at Beaumont Hospital-Farmington Hills (Botsford).  In her spare time (which is rather small after taking care of two young children), she loves fashion, pilates, and watching movies.
