Foot & Ankle Care Focused on Getting You Back to Your Life

Foot and ankle problems can affect much more than your feet. Pain may make it harder to work, exercise, participate in sports, care for your family, or simply move comfortably throughout the day.

At Nationwide Foot & Ankle Care, P.C., our podiatrists evaluate the source of your symptoms and discuss treatment options based on your condition, medical history, activity level and goals.

Depending on the diagnosis, treatment may include conservative care, footwear recommendations, custom orthotics, physical therapy, in-office procedures, wound care or surgical evaluation when appropriate.

Heel Pain & Plantar Fasciitis

The staff is pleasantly supportive and cheerful. It’s not often you come into a healthcare facility and feel motivated to work harder for your own health. The smiles and chatter amongst the staff is extremely welcoming. Well, what do you know, these people actually like their job!

Dr Semma and his staff are amazing, we as so grateful for the care and support my husband has received while seeing him for Charcot foot. Anyone who knows anything about the disease knows it can be very scary.
I asked the receptionist to talk to the Dr regarding an issue.I was told no that I had to wait until October! I couldn’t understand why my 3month appointment was skipped.
The office staff said My 3 month appointment was skipped because they “thought”I had a balance of 23.00! I had paid it but was willing to pay it again and thought it’s not 223.00!
I was in extreme pain and really needed to see the Dr because Of Ganglion cysts and regular toe nail check.
I loved Dr Michelle ,however this “issue”is ridiculous and I am a hospice patient. So disappointing.

so days after I posted this I received a call from the off saying Dr Seema (Dr Michelle’s husband)
would be coming out on Thursday .
I’m in extreme pain and can’t wait to see him.
I’ll change my review after he comes.
Thank you,
Sharon Hughes Conwsy

I’ve been with Dr. Scott Laker and his team for some years now. I started out at 490 pounds and I am 235 now. I do have some times where my weight is at a stand still or I have picked up some weight. But when I say that God gave me the best Doctor and Nurse, I mean that with ALL my heart ❤️ to know them is to love them. Give them a try you’ll love them just as much as I do.

Fully ruptured my Achilles tendon 3 weeks ago and I’m in a walking shoe today. Dr Semma was able to schedule an MRI the same day and performed the surgery 3 days later. I couldn’t be more happy with the plan of care he put in place for me. The whole office is very professional and the attention to detail made me feel comfortable. This is the second procedure he’s performed on me and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Dr. Semma and his staff have provided me with nothing but the best care. They are compassionate and professional in their care of all their patients. I don’t know where I would be today without his medical knowledge in treating my ever changing condition. If you are in need of podiatry or ankle care look no further.

The providers at Nationwide Foot & Ankle Care are the very best in the area for podiatry. I have been very impressed with their attentiveness to patient care. As a physical therapist, I have appreciated how approachable their staff is when relaying information about rehab. I am confident that all my patients will have a great experience when going to Nationwide.

When to Seek Care

When Should You See a Podiatrist?

Minor foot soreness can sometimes improve with rest and activity modification. Persistent, recurring or worsening symptoms may indicate an underlying foot or ankle condition that deserves evaluation.

Consider scheduling an appointment if you experience ongoing heel or foot pain, ankle instability, swelling, numbness or burning, recurring nail pain, difficulty walking, wounds, or symptoms that repeatedly interfere with work, exercise or normal activity.

People with diabetes, neuropathy, circulation concerns or impaired healing should be especially careful with new wounds, infections or changes in the feet.

Foot & Ankle Care FAQs

What conditions does a podiatrist treat?

Podiatrists evaluate and treat conditions affecting the feet and ankles. Nationwide Foot & Ankle Care provides care for heel pain, plantar fasciitis, bunions, hammertoes, ingrown toenails, fungal conditions, ankle injuries, diabetic foot concerns, pediatric foot problems, arthritis, wounds and other foot and ankle conditions.

When should I see a podiatrist for foot pain?

Consider an evaluation when foot or ankle pain is persistent, recurring, worsening, follows a significant injury, or begins interfering with walking, work, exercise or normal activity. New wounds or signs of infection can require more prompt attention, particularly for people with diabetes or impaired circulation.

Do you treat children with foot and ankle problems?

Yes. Pediatric foot care includes evaluation of concerns such as flat feet, in-toeing and out-toeing, heel pain, gait concerns, sports injuries and other foot and ankle problems affecting children and teens.

Do you provide nonsurgical foot and ankle treatment?

Many foot and ankle conditions can be treated nonsurgically. Depending on the diagnosis, options may include activity modification, footwear changes, orthotics, physical therapy or other condition-specific treatments. Surgery may be considered when appropriate for the condition and patient’s goals.
